The Truth were formed in 1982 by the band leader of Nine Below Zero Dennis Greaves and Mick Lister. Their debut single “Confusion ( Hits Us Every Time )” went to No. 22 in the UK charts and was followed swiftly by “A Step in the Right Direction” which reached No. 32. Their debut album “Playground” came out in 1985 and was followed by “Weapons of Love” (1987) and “Jump” (1989) along with some fantastic singles before the band split. After reforming in 2012 for a one off sold out London concert, The Truth are back to play at 2017’s Mods Mayday Weekend.

Fay Hallam is a hugely respected Hammond organist, singer and songwriter, with over 10 albums to her credit. She first came to prominence in Mod-popsters, Makin’ Time, in the early 1980’s, along with a pre-Charlatans Martin Blunt. She and Martin, along with drummer John Brookes and ex-Prisoners frontman, Graham Day, then went on to become The Gift Horses, which were the embryonic beginnings of The Charlatans, which Martin and John also then went on to form. Fay and Graham then formed The Prime Movers, along with ex-Prisoners bassist Allan Crockford and fellow Medway stalwart, and ex-Daggermen drummer “Wolf” Howard. After this, Fay went on to make over 10 albums, as Phaze, The Fay Hallam Trinity, and most recently as a solo artist.
Her first solo album, “Corona” was released on the Blow Up label in 2015, and gained airplay on BBC 6 Music.
