THE SATELLITES

Complete Control is honoured to present THE SATELLITES

First London show in over 30 years

Plus support from Some Dogs + Eastfield + DJ Jeffrey Munday

The Satellites:
Formed in 1977 in West London and immediately The Satellites immediately caught the attention of The Damned’s Rat Scabies, who went on to produce their debut single Urban Guerilla and the follow up Human Being, both now regarded as great lost Punk rock gems. Over the next few years The Satellites were at the centre of a west London Punk scene with The Ruts and shared a stage with Tubeway Army, Crass, The Pack (later Theatre of Hate). Every gig was unpredictable, riotous and unforgettable. And singer Del still managed a spot of modelling, for the cover of the legendary ‘New Wave’ compilation LP. His handsome young visage can be seen in the new Trainspotting movie. Tonight, after a 30 year plus absence from the London stage we welcome back this brilliant Punk band – with the traditional howl of Eeyore – for what will be an unforgettable and emotional night.

Some Dogs:
Taking their inspiration not only from punk rock but from the true rebel flavour of Country music Some Dogs grab you by the scruff of the neck, hogtie you to a wild rodeo horse and drag you across the badlands to the sound of the grand ole country songs of yore, but in a way you never in a million years dreamed you’d hear them.

Eastfield:
Infuriatingly catchy songs about fare dodging, terrible movie actors and more, Eastfield’s cheery yet hard as nails Urban Rail Punk will have you dancing, ranting, singing along and grinning ear-to-ear like a kid who’s just been given his first train set.
