There is something undeniably special when a band of three clicks. Some would say finding three good musicians playing music together isn’t a hard task. Finding seasoned artists who can make a trio sound a band twice their size, well that’s special. Ae3, a power soul organ trio consisting of Alan Evans (Soulive), Danny Mayer (Eric Krasno Band) and Kris Yunker (Jen Durkin and the Business) is certainly special.
The band’s founder Alan Evans founded iconic band Soulive, in his musical career he has released 14 albums and toured the world, opening for The Rolling Stones,[6] Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, and others. He’s played at various festivals, including the Monterey Jazz Festival , Glastobury, Bonnaroo. They have toured extensively regularly playing sold out shows in some of the world’s most prestigious venues. Evans has mixed and produced many albums and is one of the most in demand drummers out there in the genre of funk and soul. He is also an acclaimed multi instrumentalist and singer.
With Ae3 Evans, Mayer and Yunker have spent years individually and collectively touring the world bringing the soulful music they love to a captive audience. Each of these musicians are true artists who together create one massive sound together that is truly their own.
With two albums under their belt June 2019 will see the release of ‘The Wild Root’, Ae3’s first new album in five years. This is an epic album and Ae3 are excited to come to London for this one off special show to play it for you.
