Fred Perry Subculture presents:

What better way to open up our three-day New Music Festival than, Squid. One of the breakout acts of 2019, carving a reputation for highly innovative and exceptional live sets.

“Unusual and idiosyncratic, theirs is an infectious sonic viewpoint that’s pricking up more ears by the day” – DIY

More than ably supported by POZI. With a motorik rhythm section accentuated by the versatile swells and stresses of a violin, it is the unusual instrumentation of POZI (bass, drums & violin) that makes them stand apart.

“POZI seem to truly exist in their own realm. A band who want to explore possibilities in sound, the three-piece recall the exploratory nature of post-punk while working within their own boundaries.” – Clash

“No one is quite sure where the enigmatic Lazarus Kane emerged from. A US transplant now living in the UK, he appears a relic of some recent past.” What we are sure of – he is absolutely unmissable live. Seriously, do not miss this opening set.

The night will be rounded off with DJ Sets from Glows and Savage Gary (Speedy Wunderground).

Is a three day celebration of innovation in music and the arts. Taking place at the legendary 100 Club on Thu 12th / Fri 13th & Sat 14th September.

Squid – Thu 12th
Hak Baker – Fri 13th
