JIMMY IS PUNK: LIVE FILM SCREENIING

Raindance Film Festival presents
The European premiere of the film JIMMY IS PUNK: The Story of PANIC

Plus Q&A with Duco Donk (Director of film) + special guests

Jimmy is Punk is a punk film about the relatively unknown Dutch band ‘Panic’. It is set around a concert performed in Gouda in 1978, around the time when Punk had just started, for ‘Panic’ it was already over. The band split up shortly after the featured performances

The Director, Duco Donk delivers an unstoppable burst of punk energy with extraordinary performances and archive footage of the band, but it’s the audience and the fans of ‘Panic’ who become the main characters of this film with their spirit and intense emotion for the band

This film is about freedom and having fun. As well as superb high octane performances from the band throughout, it transports you back to a time of youth, rebellion and the spirit of Punk, superbly shot on 16mm and double 8. The result is a pure and undiluted explosion of Punk and an absolute must watch for Punk fans and unequaled for those who want to understand what Punk is.
