Hailing from Como, Mississippi, The Como Mamas are a female Gospel trio comprising Ester Mae Smith, Angel Taylor and Della Daniels.
Signed to the Daptone Records family after participating in the 2008 “Como Now” compilation, the debut album from The Como Mamas “Get An Understanding” was released in 2013 to worldwide critical acclaim.
In 2017 the follow-up album “Move Upstairs” with backing from the Daptone house band under the monikier of The Glorifiers.
